Mission
Part of ETMA’s role is to help identify Environmental challenges in the industrial sector and be the catalyst for sustainable environmental solutions.
Active participation in ETMA is an opportunity to enhance knowledge in environmental issues, contribute towards effective solutions, and develop one’s knowledge, management, and communication skills.
ETMA also affords valuable networking opportunities with fellow environmental professionals.
ETMA provides OE value through knowledge sharing to leading industrial companies and the Kingdom as a whole. ETMA is a platform for building networks through events, campaigns, workshops, technical exchange meetings, etc.
ETMA convenes Technical Dinner Meetings on average every two months. The meetings are an excellent venue for environmental professionals and the general audience to remain abreast of interesting and recent developments in various environmental subjects. The presenters are typically from academia or are environmental specialists from Saudi Aramco and other major industrial companies, and representatives from private sector companies.
ETMA collaborates with national and international universities, particularly King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (IAU), Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University (PMU) and King Faisal University (KFU). These universities provide effective partnerships towards the success, development, and achievement of the association’s objectives.
ETMA organizes the PetroEnvironment Symposium every two years. PetroEnvironment gathers upstream and downstream professionals to address solutions to current and future environmental challenges. It is the ideal meeting place for scientists, engineers and senior executives from national and international companies to share their expertise, discuss solutions, and explore potential partnership opportunities. The event is a continuation of EnviroArabia, which was held in 1995, 1997, 2000, 2004 and 2007 in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
